About Our Pastor - T. R. Williams, Sr., D.Min.
Theodore Roosevelt Williams, Sr. is the pastor and founder of the New Faith Church in Houston, Texas. A graduate of Southern University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and Business Administration, Dr. Williams pursued his calling to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ with clarity, accuracy and boldness. His graduate and postgraduate works were completed at Virginia Union University School of Theology where he received the Master of Divinity and Doctorate of Ministry in Theology.
Although Dr. Williams has held positions both nationally and locally and has received numerous awards, the glory of his life is found in his work as preacher and pastor. He previously served as pastor of the Shady Grove Church in Saline, Louisiana and the Loyal Church in Houston, Texas. The founding pastor of the New Faith Church, Dr. Williams has faithfully shepherded this congregation since inception in 1977. Under his loving leadership, the membership has grown from the initial 52 members to more than 2000 families today.
A humble giant in ministry, Dr. Williams is renowned as a pastor's pastor, willing to share himself and all God has called him to be with other pastors and preachers throughout the country. A multitude of preachers reference Dr. Williams as their father in ministry, and as many former associate ministers of New Faith presently pastor their own congregations.
Dr. Williams was born the seventh child of the late Nathaniel and Violet Williams in Alexandria, Louisiana. A dedicated husband and family man, Dr. Williams is married to Valerie D. Marshall Williams, is the father of three and the grandfather of five.
